Religious Education and Sacraments
Baptisim
Baptism classes are held throughout the year and are published in the bulletin 2 weeks prior to the class. Godparents are required to attend the class. The date for Baptism will be set at the class. Children older than 5 years of age need to participate in a special preparation.

First Reconciliation and Eucharist
Sacramental preparation classes for these sacraments are for students in second grade or higher and begin in the fall and end in the spring. Contact The Director of Religious Education, for more information.
Marriage
Couples interested in getting married at Saint James need to contact Fr. Terry six months prior to the event to schedule the preparation classes. For information on renting the parish hall please contact Sandra Van Bergen. email
Marriage Handout
OCIC
(Order of Christian Initiation for Children) is for children 6 years and older who wish to join the Catholic Church and receive Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil. These children prepare by participating in the parish's religious education classes and meet with their families weekly from January to the Easter Vigil.

RCIA
(Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is for adults interested in learning more about the Catholic faith and possibly becoming Catholic and joining the church. Adult Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation are celebrated at the Easter Vigil. RCIA meets weekly.
